Online Prepared Childbirth Classes
Our online childbirth class is the perfect alternative for those wanting a flexible class schedule and fewer on-site class hours, or for those living or working too far from our hospital.
MOM (Mentoring Other Mothers)
Mentoring Other Mothers is a social networking group for new moms and their babies ages 0 to 7 months, as well as prenatal mothers during their 2nd & 3rd trimesters.
The 4th Trimester: Life with a Newborn
This class will help to prepare you for life with a newborn.
Due to the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, we are postponing all of our in-person Prepared Childbirth Classes until further notice. Women's Health Information Center
The Women's Health Information Center (WHIC) in the N.C. Women's Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC has all the resources you need to help prepare you for labor and delivery of your child.
The Center has books, videos and pamphlets on many women’s health issues and two computers with access to the Internet and UNC Hospital-approved women’s health websites. We also provide free educational sessions about our Baby Friendly Designation and what to expect when your family comes to have your baby at our Women’s Hospital.
The Women’s Health Information Center offers a comfortable place to feed your baby or to use your breast pump, you and your visitors are always welcome at our peaceful and resourceful place.
The Women’s Health Information Center (WHIC) is located on the ground floor of N.C. Women’s Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. It is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Please feel free to drop by and visit WHIC anytime during business hours.
- Childbirth Classes: Register for childbirth classes, tours, and networking groups. WHIC also organizes community seminars and classes where UNC Health Care medical experts present the latest women’s health information.

The Women’s Health Information Center provides information that helps you make informed decisions about your health. It should not, however, replace the advice you receive from your health care provider.
The Women’s Health Information Center (WHIC) at UNC Hospitals exists to positively impact women’s health status, their level of understanding about health concerns and their ability to partner with their providers about care options. The goal is to provide accurate, accessible and timely information for any woman served by the UNC Health Care System or who resides in the state of North Carolina.
