Comments
  • Testing for IgA antibodies to tissue transglutaminase is performed using the EliA Celikey assay. This automated assay uses the automated Phadia 250 system.
  • Results are reported as Positive, Negative, or Equivocal with quantitative value.
  • Some sera demonstrate a pattern of reactivity indicating the likely presence of IgA deficiency. Sera with suspected IgA deficiency are noted in the results. Serum from patients with IgA deficiency can be tested for IgG TTg antibodies. This testing is available via the referral testing laboratory.
