Specimen	Routine:	Tissue: 3-10 mm of villi from abortus, skin biopsy, etc. Products of Conception: 5-10 mm piece of chiorion with VISIBLE villi attached; See Comments for additional specimen information

Comments		Please place a "Cytogenetics Postnatal (non-blood) order-LAB5505 and select desired testing. Specimen collection media must be fully thawed before placing sample in the media tube. If this is a product of conception (POC) sample, you will be prompted to place a Maternal Cell Contamination (MCC) order (LAB6039). Deliver sample to the Core Laboratory within 24 hours. Call the Cytogenetics Laboratory at (984)974-1790 with questions. If the laboratory is closed leave a message that includes your name and phone/pager#, the patient's name and the sample type. Use sterile technique and close all containers tightly. Label all containers with an EPIC/Beaker label or patient name, MRN, and date collected.
