Comments
  • Discontinue spironolactone 4-6 weeks before testing.
  • Collect in pre-chilled EDTA tubes.
  • Deliver immediately to Core Laboratory on wet ICE. 
  • Sample must be spun in refrigerated centrifuge and plasma separated and frozen within 30 minutes of collection.  (If a refrigerated centrifuge is unavailable, chill the centrifuge carriers.  Centrifuge specimen for <=5 minutes, then promptly transfer plasma.)
