Reference Range Normal:  See comment below
  Critical: Age: 29 days-adult:<2.7 or >5.8 mmol/L
Age: 0-28 days: <2.7 or >6.0 mmol/L
ED Critical: <2.7 or >6.3 mmol/L

Deliver Immediately to Core Laboratory.  Samples are stable at room temperature for up to 4 hours.  Do NOT store on ice.
Syringes with needles attached will NOT be accepted
Syringes may be obtained from Central Distribution.

Green top (Heparin) tubes are acceptable; minimum volume 1.0 mL if collected in 7 mL tube.
