Comments

Deliver Immediately to the Core Laboratory (Blood Gas). Samples >30 minutes old may have unreliable results.

  • Syringes with needles attached will NOT be accepted
  • Only biological fluids are acceptable for analysis. Non-biological fluids, and fluids of gastric origin (i.e. gastric fluid, stool, emesis) are unacceptable and will be rejected. Gastric fluid for a pH should be ordered as a gastroccult.
  • Syringes may be obtained from Central Distribution.
