Comments
  • May be found in both immunocompromised and immunocompetent hosts.
  • Test not performed after >3 days hospitalization. 
  • One Specimen is usually adequate in most cases: up to 3 specimens, 24 hours apart accepted.
  • Only one stool will be accepted for each patient per day.       
  • NO SWABS accepted.
  • Stool specimens must not be collected after the administration of barium, bismuth or oil.
