Methadone may be detected in the urine up to ~72 hours after last ingestion. The urine methadone screening test detects the presence of methadone at a concentration of 300 ng/mL or greater; the methadone metabolite(EDDP) may also be detected. Methadone Confirmation testing should be considered for positive screens.

Specimens containing preservatives are not acceptable.
