Total IgE levels in serum are determined with the ImmunoCAP total IgE assay on the Phadia 1000 system: The ImmunoCAP system.   Results are reported in kU/ml.  Reference ranges are provided with sample results.  The upper limit of the measurement range is 5000 kU/mL.  Samples demonstrating IgE levels greater than 5000 kU/ml are retested to determine the total IgE concentration only upon request.
