• Contact laboratory genetic counseling at LABGC@unchealth.unc.edu or 984-974-7283 with questions.
• Some GeneDx tests are not currently available through Aura and must be ordered via Miscellaneous DNA Sendout (LAB5910). This includes, but is not limited to: targeted variant testing, custom panels, and exome/genome reanalysis.
• For interfaced orders, Referral Testing will no longer routinely perform cost estimates/benefits investigations on the GeneDx portal prior to sending samples out. If an estimate is needed in advance, providers can email Referral Testing to request an estimate OR request access to the GeneDx portal to create estimates directly.

*For exome/genome testing, if the patient would like to OPT-OUT of being contacted for research studies, this must be noted in the order comments. For duo/trio orders, in addition to the interfaced order set in the proband’s chart, a LAB5910 (MDNA) order must be placed for each family member being tested.
