Testing for dsDNA antibody is performed by indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) using the Crithidia luciliae substrate.   Serum samples are screened at a 1:10 dilution.  Results are reported as negative or positive.  Positive sera are further tested with serial dilution to determine the endpoint titer.
