  • All specimens for CMV antibody are tested by a qualitative, chemiluminescent immunoassay for the detection of IgG CMV antibodies. The test is intended as an aid in determination of CMV serostatus. 
  • Results are reported as negative, equivocal or positive. Equivocal samples should prompt a redraw and retest.
