  • Specimen Stability:  72 hours at room temperature or 24 hours refrigerated.
  • Candida and Cryptococcus sp. will be detected in specimens of Body Fluids, Blood, Bone Marrow Aspirates & Biopsies, Respiratory Specimens, and Urines sent for routine Bacteriology culture. This test (fungus culture) is intended ONLY for cases of suspected pathogenic fungi, such as dimorphic fungi, Aspergillus, dematiaceous fungi, and zygomycetes.
