  • Consider testing for patients who have symptoms of community-acquired pneumonia that did not improve following empiric antibiotics and have lived in or have traveled to generally endemic areas (Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Washington State, and Central and South America).
  • Consider testing for coccidioidomycosis in patients with erythema nodosum (with recent respiratory symptoms) in patients who have lived in an or traveled to an endemic region.
