Tube Type
Performed on RNA extracted from blood or bone marrow. Two (2) tubes of blood (3mL/each tube) or bone marrow (1mL) must be collected in ACD-A tubes or Lavender EDTA tubes. Do not use heparin anti-coagulant.See Comments section for more specimen information.
Extracted RNA (frozen -80°C) is accepted from a CLIA approved laboratory.
Laboratory hours are 6:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Prompt delivery of the sample is essential due to the instability of RNA.For Friday collections specimens must be received in the laboratory by 4:00pm. It is critical, that samples are received within 72 hours of collection and preferably sooner.
