Comment	Specimens submitted for detection of antibody HBV Core Antigen (Anti-HBc) are tested using a chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA). This assay provides qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies against HBV core antigen in human serum using the automated Abbott Alinity-i system. It is intended for use in diagnosis of acute, chronic or resolved HBV infection. Results are reported as nonreactive, reactive, or greyzone.
