GME specialists are responsible for maintaining residents' and subspecialty residents' training records and handling matters relating to their appointments including payroll and benefits, licensure, loan deferments, notary services, and foreign medical graduates.

Ms. Hill provides support and assistance to the Executive Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, the Director of the Office of Graduate Medical Education, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and the Housestaff Council. She is the primary contact person for questions regarding accreditation, affiliation agreements, ERAS, and the NRMP.

Ms. Pounders manages the official GME communication and information systems, drives quality improvement initiatives called for by changing ACGME requirements for institutional accreditation, provides education and training support to users at all levels throughout the UNCH GME program, and supports the Accreditation and Credentialing Processes. Ms. Pounders is currently the primary contact for the following programs: Emergency Medicine and subspecialties, Medicine/Pediatrics, and Psychiatry and subspecialties.
