Infectious diseases are diseases that can pass from one person to another. The UNC Infectious Diseases Clinic providers are here to help you stay healthy, whether it’s getting through flu season, or diagnosing an illness after you return from traveling to another part of the world. Serving 2,300 patients, our medical team at the UNC Infectious Diseases Clinic specializes in treating people with acute and chronic infections.
Our faculty and staff are extensively involved in prevention programs, from vaccination outreach to civilian biodefense preparedness.
A consult service is available for all UNC Medical Care services, and we operate an inpatient ward at UNC Hospitals.
More details are available for patients on our UNC Infectious Diseases Clinic website.
